  • SMTP Help

Hi, I am trying to setup a pitboss game but I can't seem to send email reminders when the turn is finished. I am using gmail.
For SMTP Host I put: smtp.gmail.com
For SMTP login I put: youremail@gmail.com
SMTP password I put my email's password
I assume your e-mail address section you just put your email address again.

I set it up that way and it doesn't seem to work. Any help would be nice. Thank you.

I don't think that gmail allows you to send e-mail this way.
If they would, they would open their servers for routing much spam to other servers!

This SMTP option is only available if you have an SMTP server on your own ip running, or access to a open relay smtp server.

A bit old, but still perhaps useful... Check civstats.com - it's a free-to-use PTBS monitoring service, basically, that among other things will email you when turns change.
<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
