Dumb newbie MP questions.

A friend and have just started playing MP BTS games via Gamespy.

1/. The person initiating the game can set his skill level (ie AI is set to Nobile, initiator sets his level to Warlord), but the person joining the game can't seem to. Is there any way the joining person can set his/her level?

2/. The person initiating the game can choose a leader, but the person joining only has a choice of a small random number of leaders to chose from. Is there any way for the joiner to be able to select any leader too?

No, the reason for this is because the game has already started in most cases and you are joining a game that is already in progress.

Otherwise you should be able to choose your difficulty and leaders. So you should try and get into a game that hasn't started yet.

You can set your own skill level in a just-created game, always. However, AI are always noble.

If you're just playing a game with your friend, you are better off with DirectIP - just go to www.whatismyip.com (whoever starts the game) and connect to that IP.
