ok sorry capo. though i do beleive this rule should not exist. there is no waiting in real life war so why should there be in the game. sure it would make it a little fair but life isn't fair and neither is war. any one who has faught in war knows this to be true so just let it be.

Whatever "wait time" we decide on, it should start immediately after the last player in the war moves. No waiting for the next turn to begin before this "wait time" starts.

We want to give players a chance to react, but we don't want to excessively shorten players time window to play their turn.

For example.... PlayerA plays his wartime move one hour into the start of a new turn. Turns are 22 hours. I really don't think PlayerA should have to wait 28 hours until they play their second turn... which would be required according to the current wording.

Really though, you guys should just give up on coming up with a rule to address this. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, NOTHING WORKS.

I'll toss out another pandoras box just to prove my point above...

Ever think about what happens if one player logs in, plays his moves, but doesn't end the turn? Did he violate the timer? If so, how do we track this? Chew on that for a bit...

Or how about a three way war? Four way war? Beginning to see the bigger picture here and why it is so hard to implement a rule that WORKS?

you know this thread would not matter if we just got rid of the rule. stop making everything so much more difficult then it has to be. besides even if we leave the rule the way it is what's to stop another civ like the mayans to just ignore the rule and move anyways?

also what if someone is in a war and logs in before th 1/3 limit just to pick another tech or something and doesn't move his military units. will that person be considered cheating or is this perfactly fine? and for the record i only saved the vikings so i can destroy them myself.

I don't think pitboss works either. And I don't know where the Vikings and Japs have been, but I am glad they've found eachother.

For the record; I am anti-pitboss, and anti-anonymous. When both things are going on at the same time anything goes and nothing can be done about it in the future because we don't know who eachother are.

There's no reason for one and the other is only done to accomodate 18 people, which doesn't seem to work either. But hey, I tried to make this thread so at least THIS DISCUSSION is kept away from Ozzy and CS's precious threads.

i like pitboss cuz it allos me to play with others without getting in the way of my day to day life. i also like playing anonymous because it allows me to become have multiple personalities. i can be an ******* with one and a saint with the other and no one would know who i am. though i could go for less people.

Pitboss = play every day

Scheduled session = play once a week.

pitboss = play some time during the day for a few minutes.

scheduled meanss a set time every week , i have not set time where i could play. for isntance most of the HOTW games i played in were ok caue my kids too young , but now they into sports and stuff i cant find time to paly civ and be with my kids too.

with my work schedual, new promotion, and wife who lives in other country. i have no time for a scheduled session especially at night when i'm working. pitboss allows me to play when i'm ready and it only takes a min to take my turn after that i'm free to do as i wish.
