I'll start the game tomorrow morning CEST (midnight somewhere in the USA)
My son is sleeping in my 'server room' and I don't want to wake him up.

Maybe I'll give it a try if I don't receive the savefile too late.

It'll be the same IP, I'll register everyone on civstats after that as well. (well, I'll register the game passwords, you guys have to register yourself with an anon account, too much work for one person )

I know that the map is almost done. Just more ballancing. It'll be up and running soon

I'll make sure that the first turn will take long enough for everyone to play it and notice it.

I'm a bit worried about the 6 civs that haven't been tested yet....

I think the nations on each continent should name their continent over time based on agreement - or maybe it has several names if no agreement is reached. As was the case with history.

Well, we need something to refer to b/c of the 2 threads. We can name them "Story thread Continent 1" and "story thread continent 2", but that's a bit boring, isn't it

I'm going to go with this. It would be nice to be able to label it ingame so people tend to stick with the name, but overall I think it would be better if the players decide.

The map is 95% done! I just need someone, anyone, to post a random list here!

Rules for making the random list...

Pair the 18 civs with 18 random numbers. This will decide the starting postions. Cyber has a copy of the map so far, in which I numbered the starting postions. This process is to ensure complete randomness, including my starting postion.

NOTE: England and Japan are given numbers from the 1, 2 pool (island starts)

Inca, Mayan, Persia, and Khmer have tropical starts. Randomly assign them numbers from the 3, 4, 5, 6 pool.

All the rest of the civs get randomly assigned numbers 7 - 18.

The first list posted to this thread correctly is the one I will use.
