Ok, looks like I'm not out of the woods yet. But I don't want to bog down the other thread any further.

I reinstalled Civ4, installed BTS from the disk (after some trouble removing the old, broken copy in the first place). And NOW it says I need to insert the disc when I try to play it. Even when I play it from the disc.

Ozzy, you installed everything the normal way, but it says that the disk is missing?

Did you patch already? Did you install with a normal BtS cd? Or did you install in a 'special' way?

Yea, normal install from the BTS CD. And I haven't patched yet, I was going to go through the MP Lobby to auto-patch that way, but I haven't been able to get that far.

I cleared some space in my inbox for whoever it was who PMed me. But I am always right at my limit, so e-mail is the best means of getting in touch with me.

The CD thing could be one of three things.

1. Safedisc sometimes reacts poorly to things like Alcohol or whatnot; if they're active it might fail to recognize the CD.
2. If you have multiple Cd drives, all of the install must be done from one CD drive.
3. You need to remove a certain registry entry. Send a PM to Solver for that information I think, I don't have it handy. If you have questions about this, PM me (don't post it here).
