DirectIP to PBEM?

Hi all. I was wondering if there are any official or non official programs or methods to convert a DirectIP game to a PBEM game? I have a few friends who play locally and it would be good to play DirectIP when we are both available, but then play PBEM the rest of the time. It would also make the initial turns a lot quicker as moving a warrior 1 plot and then waiting for the next turn on email gets a little tedious.

Can't you just load a PBEM game into a Direct-IP game and go?

Ummm, actually haven't tried. Thought I tried loading a DIP game into PBEM and it didn't work. But that was a long time ago, before warlords. Might have to try again

PTBS is the best compromise - it plays at near-MP speeds when all are present, but allows one-turn-a-day play otherwise. Downside is you need a computer on 24/7 (or on as often as you want people to be able to play).
