[Keygen]

I recently constructed the Oracle in a PitBoss game I am involved in.

I got no video, but that was kind expected.

What worries me though is that I got no prompt to choose the free technology the Oracle is supposed to give you.

I am not the last to play my turn (remember this is a PitBoss game) so should I presume that I get the tech in the next turn or something?

Does this occur to other wonders or multiplayer methods as well?

Have you experienced something similar?

The construction of the Oracle, in games utilizing the PitBoss method, does not give a free technology as advertised, neither during the turn nor in the turn after. It does not automatically discover a technology for you or add any science points to whatever you're researching.

I presume this is a bug either of PitBoss or if reproducible to other multiplayer methods (PBEM, Hotseat, online, etc) to the game itself. I don't think it is by design, I've not read about it somewhere...

That is quite weird, expecially considering pittboss uses the same save as a normal multi game.

Did you check to see if you actually built Oracle... instead of being beat to it the same turn by another player and all you got was more money

Of course Ming. I even restarted PitBoss and went a turn back to see if I will get the free tech this time but I didn't

Who ever has the time it would be great to setup a PitBoss game and test this or other wonders with similar effects, locally.

Arociv completed oracle a few turns ago in the pittboss game i am hosting.

It will be good to have a second opinion on this.

Note this is plain Civ4 and not Warlords, updated to version 1.61.

Our game is warlords, so that might be the difference, because he didn't mention anything weird when he built it.

I'm fairly sure that Aro built the oracle and successfully got a tech.

It's been a while but I vaguely think there was a bug relating to this that was fixed in Warlords. But i'm not 100% sure.

Recently in a Warlords pitboss game that I`m in, a player complained about not getting his free tech when he got Liberalism first. It seems there may be a bug when using pitboss in that it doesn`t give you the free tech for Oracle or Liberalism

Is it Warlords 2.08? I think that bug was fixed in 2.08
