Level of IA

hi, i am newbie in Civ IV, i play this game with my wife in multiplayer mode, and i have a "problem" i can't change the IA. Why i can't change this? the level of IA is for singleplayer only?.

While you cannot change the level of the AI in a multiplayer game, you can change the level that the human players play at. Therefore, if you want the game to be easier for your wife and yourself, set your empire's levels to cheiftan or warlord. Then you will get the same bonuses that you would get if you were playing a normal game at those levels. If you want the game to be harder, set your empires levels to prince, empreor, etc. and you will be penalized (in build speed and research speed) relative to the AI.

The AI always plays on noble in a multiplayer game.
