And simultaneous turns isn't on? If that's the case, the game will be SLOW moving as we have to take turns in order.

I've played. Things would go faster if we toggled simultaneous turns on, which is easy with Saveconvert.

I don't see that we addressed that topic in the thread here, and I think the natural assumption in Pitboss situaitons is that it is on.

It's a utility for changing things in saved games. It's cheater proof, but has lots of handy uses. You should be able to find it in the utiliies section here or at Civfanatics with little trouble.

Just tried to connect and got time-outs several times. Also, the status page looks to be slightly... confused. I'll try again later.

Oh man.. the server PC had been restarted by WindowsUpdate, because it had downloaded and installed something.

I had to reload the last autosave. Fortunately PitBoss autosaves every turn. This means we all have to do previous turn again.

I am sorry about this. I am disabling automatic WindowsUpdate on this machine! :P

FTY, Mort, Pitboss makes a "recovery" save after every person logs in and plays their turn. They are buried in a "multi" folder someplace.

It's helpful because the most recent recovery save will sometimes be 20 hours later than the latest turn autosave, if everyone but one person logged in and played their turn.

And I hate Windows Update. It did the same thing to me when I started hosting. Who the hells wants their PC to download, install stuff, and reboot without asking them?
