  • problem with changing IP address

We have a regular group of 6 people, playing every Monday night. I always host the game on my computer and everyone connects via Direct IP connection.

On my broadband connection, my IP address changes occasionally. It's a pain making sure everyone connecting to the game has the right IP address.

Is there any way that I give everyone one IP address and have that always connect to my variable address? I've heard that DDNS can do that, but I don't know anything about it.

My router (Linksys RT41-BU) has a DDNS option, but it's disabled.

    Thanks for any help/ideas.

You need to get in touch with your ISP and request a Static IP. If they won't give you one, change to a provider who will. This may cost a bit of money though.

Lose it. It means, Go crazy. Nuts. Insane. Bonzo. No longer in possession of one's faculties. Three fries short of a Happy Meal. WACKO!
