Starting a game prblem

Whenever a game gets enough players and the game starts. I get a message saying that none of the other players have joined the game and asks me to vote on wether to keep waiting or not, I choose keep waiting but nothing happens and the game never starts.

I've tried turning all internet security off but it doesn't help, any ideas?

Not shure but I would think it is either not checking the ready box by each player or you have a firewall.

The error reads:-

The network socket encountered an error and was disconnected.

I*'ve had the same problem too - have disabled all firewall etc and still won't work - get several error windows with the one mentioned above about a network socket and the last one reading "couldn't start messenger" ??
Help!!!!

If could not start messanger I would think the OS is the culprit.

I make shure all is closed then run C4; otherwise the chances are great that I will crash.

I have even gone as far as a reboot to play.

I've managed to solve my problem.

Something called a 1394 net adapter in my network conections was disabled, I enabled it and everything works fine now.
