"Load Game" in MP??

I can't figure out how to use "Load Game" in MP.

If I start a MP game, then save it, so that I can play more with a friend later, we can never continue with our old game at that later time.

How do you do this? Is this posible to do in Civ4?

Certainly, when you are in the CIV MP lobby, and you chose load game, you are loading your MP save, it will load a Staging Room with the same pw and name as you had with the original game, then your friends just have to look for your games name in the game list and join it, they should already know the pw for the game and there Civ from before.

That's how it SHOULD work, but we could not get the game to do that. It loaded, then acted as if it was a SP game. And the game never appeared in the list.

Might it have something to do with the fact that his game said 400BC, and mine said 1300 AD? (i.e. we were out-of-sync)

That sounds like you played with a 00S and that is bad karma.

Bad karma?? haha. So, you are meaning to say, that you cannot load a saved game if the people involved were out-of-sync?

No as soon as you get a 00S you need to find the player with the different 00S number and have them quit and hotjoin to resync there game. In a 2 player game it's faster just to pick a person and hotjoin. Don't coneinue playing with the red 00S message, you are actually playing in different games(different maps, resource locations etc), and different game years, it's really unreliable.
