Unable to trade in a hotseat game

we have encountered an odd problem in a hot-seat gameof Civ4. I can trade to mywife but shecnnottrade with me. The problem does not seem to be a lack of any advance etc. When she tries to snd mesome thing it briefly shws in theffer box before it is rejected by the machine . Any ideas?

I have the same problem when playing hotseat with my wife
obly money can bve trade, no city or tech!

am paying player 1 and can give things to her (as player 2). I can give all items and thec but can only get monety from her..... Strange normally I never get any money from my wife quitye the opposite!

It's a known bug. Everyone can trade with everyonce...except player 1. Play 1 can give out tech/resources/world maps, but can't acquire them from other players.

Yup, same problem here. Sounds like pretty much everyone who plays hotseat has had it.

I can excuse most of the bugs, but this is just really, really sloppy.
