At Paddy's request, I've decided to do something that I've never done before...
Do a turn by turn game thread with screenies!
I'll just be playing one turn at a time so that the posts will stay short, feedback on what to do next and so forth will be taken into consideration.
Nation: Random
Difficulty: Noble
AI: 8 Random AI, 9 total civs on map.
Map: Fractal
Size: Standard
Climate: Cold
Sealevel: Low
Speed: Normal
Barbs: Ragin'!
All Victory conditions.
Let's see what the draw brings us:

Well, it looks like we drew America, and Roosevelt, Industrious and Organized, Fishing and Agriculture.
Fun Facts so far:
1. My first game playing as Roosevelt
2. My first game on a fractal map
3. My first turn by turn story.
Here is our start position:

Looks pretty classy, I'm gonna be founding the city there because the rice and fish make it too good to pass up.

Begin working on a workboat to take advantage of those seaborne resources. Oooh cows to the west!

Moved Steve the Warrior one square Southeast (3 for you demogame types) He sees some clams and the piggies that we could already see. The tundra's telling me that west and north are the directions that we'll have the best growth, but Steve will continue to look for goodie huts.
Decided to research the wheel to hook up the rice asap. Animal Husbandry will probably come next as there's those cows in the fat cross.
Next build will be a worker then 2 warriors or warrior, archer if I have archery by then.
And that's the end of 4000 BC!
