Meanwhile the parliament asked Professor Henrik T. Rindom of the Science Institute of the republic city to make an accurate map of the Jonta Republic. From 1781 to 1785 Mr. Rindom an his
assistants travelled throughout the land and the map was ready in 1786.

The political situation in Jonta is getting polarised, at one side is the militaristic parties that all more or les support a total war against every nation that will not accept the fact that the Jonta nation is their superior. These parties stand strong at the western part of the land, where tensions with other nations is felt a lot more than far away from the borders.
On the other side the Intellectuals arguing that being the centre of culture and the top scientific nation of the world, the Jontan republic should fight for peace only.
This fraction of society is very strong along the south-east coast where life is casual with small bars along the beaches and with the cultural and artistic capital Kent Town.
The people in the Republic city and New River City supports a compromise, they are fore a continuing war against the Bismakkans, which will lead to control over the Bismakkan goldmines,
But they want to stop the war against the Roseworld, and they are interested in a permanent peace with the old ally Lousiana, because this nation is to frightening to have as an enemy.
At the president election in 1802 a new president from this fraction is elected.
The new leader continues to fund the army heavily and an air force and an modern fleet of destroyers submarines and hanger ships is being build.
From 1802-1814 the war against the Bismakkans continues and in 1815 the Jontan Army stand at the gates of the Dussel gold district, in the centre of the Bismakkan Kingdom.

The siege of Dussel, became the most horrible bloodbath in the history of man.
The Bismakkan 2.nd army with more than 20 divisions was protecting the city, but they were up against are much more modern army of the Jontans. The Jontan air force bombed the city ,night after night in more than a month. Hereafter 6 divisions of artillery and infantry stormed the city from the hills east of the city. But the Bismakkans kannons and riffles destroyed the attackers.
Learning the lesson the Jontan general Von Hub, send the complete 4th. Army to the hills. And after another bombardment Dussel fell in 1836. More than 100.000 soldiers and thousands of civilians was lost.
During the continuing campaign the media of the Jontans turned more and more against the war, showing Film of the horrors of war, and reporting from the airports when the coffins was brought back from the front, this resulted in a political shift towards the peace friendly parties. And at the elections in 1848 a new president Thorleif Rasmus was elected, he started peace negotiations right away.
In 1849 a treaty was signed. The people of the Republic City erect the Peace Tower to celebrate this event.

Photoshop - You could do with any program that can handle pictures: have a cut and paste, have a tekst box, thats all.
