ok, i started this new game as the aztecs and intend to write about that game in this thread. please bear with me as I do so . I am a novice after all!!
I am yet to play the game, but specs follow.
Map : Continents
Civ: Aztec
UU: Jaguaar Warrior (Swordsman-equivalent)
Leader: Montezuma
Leader Trait: Aggressive, Spiritual
Starting techs: Mysticism and HUnting
Difficulty Level: Prince
Basic Strategy:
One of my first Prince games, my stratgey will be to use the jags to my advantage early. I will not create too many cities early, probably 3.
Tech: I will look for an early religion, budhdhism and then go straight for iron working.
So,
Meditation
Mining
Bronze Working
Iron Working
I could have skipped meditation, but budhdhism will be a real help in expanding ealry borders for Tenochtitlan.
Build:
OF course barrax will be built in all the cities ASAP.
1st city:
warrior
warrior
warrior (3 warriors for faster exploration important for warmongering)
settler
barrax
worker
2nd city
barrax
That's just the basic layout. as the game progresses I iwll post more details.
