I know what you mean, I just finished my first post AU 100 game one level higher than in the dar an hour ago. (UN Victory on Prince in 1902 AD when I was way behind the space race to the Germans, who incidently voted for me anyway.) Historically the next corse doesn't start until the 'buzz' dies down and at least 1/2 the people currently following AU lose interest and stop checking in.Comment

As I remember it, normally we would've been into the next game already. I've been absorbed with my own games + RL. Plus I'm not sure how to set up the scenario properly so that the difficulty levels work properly (as was not the case with AU100).

You cannot really have a starting unit varriance with a worldbuilder game. I could toy with it a little and try a couple things, but for my game i just gave different civs different units, workers etc...Originally posted by Arrian

Hrm. That's a real problem for AU. A key part of this has always been to set up games that could be played at any difficulty level. That's annoying.

I have to say, so much time has passed since AU 100, I've moved up 3 levels. I started 100 on warlord, and while I was able to beat it easily, I wasn't when I started. I now play on Monarch or Prince all the time, though I'd probably go for Prince if playing another AU game. It's a shame it's taking so long to get a new course going.Comment

lol Hauptman, I tried, but I've never played epic length before, and got wiped by Alexander and Khan(never got copper, and didn't get iron until it was too late)
I'm playing a different epic length game right now to get the feel for it, then I might try againComment
