Gold Edition. Copy Protection?

Does the Gold Edition of this game have any intrusive copy protection?

Also, how about the BTS expansion?

I have seen some good prices for these but since I heard that the Complete version has SecuRom I want to try to make sure first.

All the versions of Civ use the same copy protection. But Complete no longer requires a disk check in order to play the game. I'm not sure if that means that SecureRom has been removed or not though. Also the last patch removes the disc check as well. And I don't find anything intrusive about SecureRom. I'd rather have that than the online Steam verification that Civ 5 will be using.

I'll second that. I don't mind having it check to make sure the disk is in my CD-ROM but I don't really like the idea of having to log in online EVERY TIME I WANT TO PLAY.
