Flank Attack

How does this work? Is it possible to target Cats/Trebs in a stack? I can't, even with flanking promotions.

You don't "target" the CD units (unless they are the strongest defender).
Also, the attacking unit has to survive the attack. Either straight up or by retreating. So if they have pikemen in a stack, the odds are, you won't win or retreat.

First, make sure you have a movement left after the attack to flank
Second, make sure you have the right units... horse archer or better for cats and tribs, Cur's or better for cannons.

Usually, the best thing to do is hit the stack with CD units first to nick everybody, and then attack with a stack of mounted units. It works like a charm. It is highly recommend you use mounted units with flank 2
