Out of Touch, need help

Sadly, things have kept me busy for the better half of 2008 and to present, thus I haven't played the game. I'm trying to get back to using it. I don't play multiplayer (I don't have the time) but I play against the computer. I visit the site and see screenshot(s) that show units as armies (not just one character representing, say, cavalry but a number of them, still just one unit, but looks cooler.) Granted, this is only eye candy, not required to play the game, but if anyone knows why my installation doesn't display it that way, please let me know. Thanks.

Check your options ... "Single Unit Graphics" should be unchecked.

It might be defaulting to Single Unit Graphics on your system if your video card isn't all that great. That's one of the ways the game tries to improve it's performance on weaker systems.
