Hi all. I've known about this site for quite some time, but never actually got involved in the community, registered or anything such as that. I am (as are most of you) a HUGE Civilization fan and remember spending countless hours as a young teenager playing CIV I until the break of dawn - sleeping a few hours - then hitting it again and staying up all night. I've been hooked since those days in the early 90's.

I am here to "step my game up" so to speak. I want to learn the in's and out's of my favorite game like most of you guys do. I am playing CIV VI-BTS with the current patch. I realize I need to get involved here to learn so here I am.

I am embarassed to say I stuggle at the Warlord level - it's basically a crapshoot for me to win, and if I do it is always a time victory. I really need to figure out some of the finer details, get a handle on the basics and see where I am going wrong.

I look forward to talking with you all!

    Cheers.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Some of us still have the civ "jones" after all these years. I have learned a mountain at this forum, where for the most part everyone treats each other like adults playing a strategic game. So you are definitely welcome, and may we both play Civ VI in the years to come.

I find the game timeless. Sometime I still play older versions just for fun.

                  Anyway, welcome.
