  • How is this Possible?!?

I was playing as Sitting Bull (Phi/Pro) and I'm steamed that my "supposely" Great Spy farm has a higher possiblity of generating a Great friggen Scientist then a Great Spy (with 5 Spy's working), especially when I have The Great Wall, Scotland Yard, and the Kremlin, Jail, Courthouse and the Intelligence Agency (coming in one turn), and NO science buildings whatsoever in this city.

    Here's a screenshot:

The next turn I learned that it did swing the Great Spy's way, but still without any science buildings, how can there be scientists here?

My identity is of no consequence save for the epitath of your grave.

There's only 2 reasons I can see: One, you had scientists before and you switched them to spies, or two, it has something to do with the mod you're playing. Which mod are you playing, anyway?

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

It's more likely the former. prelynmax, do you realize that the % chance is a combination of the GPP you've generated on past turns? Not just what you're running at the current time?

If it did that, it would be trivial to "cheat" and switch all your specialists on the turn before it generated a GP.

You can have scientist specialists in the city, as the screenshots show. So the ai probably put a few of these when you weren't micromanaging the city.

          NO science buildings whatsoever
Caste System civic enables running scientist without them, probably governor run them behind your back.

Based on a quick estimate in 19 turns your probability of a GS should be around 60% since about 800 or so of the 2000 are going to be non-spy.

The probability your getting is static analysis based on what percent of points you currently have; it does not consider what specialists your currently running nor the wonders you currently have.

How did you make it to 1735AD without a lighthouse in a city with two seafood?

Yeah, that would have been an extra specialist, but I do see ample food not in use and with plenty of happiness room left I wouldn't be worried about a negative health. WORK it for additional specialists.
