  • My first attempt to make a mod BTS

Hi, I've made a BTS scenario on a large, accurate Earth map that beings 4000BC with a clean slate. I know, nothing new there, but here's the thing. Many of the civs seem to have an affinity for the wrong religion. For instance, when played by the computer, the Celts seem to like Islam, while the Persians like Confucaism (this is when all religions are still available to found).

What do I have to alter to change the default religion preference for a civ? Can I also include a "second choice?"

I know how to edit a BTS scenario file with notepad, but it doesn't seem that one can include a religion preference in that file (or can I? That'd be my preference, actually).

    Halp!

    Thanks.

Alright, I figured out how to edit the line in Leaderheadinfos.xml, but figured I'd make it a mod rather than toying with my core game...only I can't get it to show up in the list when I go to "load BTS content" in order to play it. Is there anything I need to make sure is in my folder so that the mod shows up in the list?

Load BTS content is only for the scenarios that came with BTS. What you need is from the main menu click Advanced then Load Mod.

much thanks! There's no way to define civs' favorite religions directly in the scenario file, right? just StateReligion= which is the current state religion? If it's at all possible to do this as a single file and not a mod it'd be great, but if it needs be a mod, then mod it is...

          It's a mod, not a WBS setting.
