I run BTS on parallels 4 (didn't like to keep rebooting into dedicated XP) and it works like a charm. I like a huge real earth map with maximum civs, so it has a tendency to lag a bit in the endgame, even with graphics sliders down, but that may or may not be the case on some pcs, too.

I have experienced no problems usual for PC emulator software, parallels plays nice with my graphics card, sound card, mic, etc. Compare that to my friend who has a PC running Linux (and thus runs BTS through WINE), he has no end of problems with sound and non-recognition of keyboard input...so much so he's going back to running straight XP.

Still, it is very playable and I'm so happy that I can (finally) enjoy BTS. I've got a MacBook Pro w/2.4 GHz processor and 2GB of 667MHz SDRAM. I'm running OS X 10.5.5.

I have to say, though, I am very resentful of the proclamation that there is no port to mac coming. Even after all these years, there's not a mac user I know who wouldn't eagerly buy all three for mac at the full new retail price and thank their lucky stars. This seems to be the only game that seems to feel making ports are still a problem after the switch to Intel processors YEARS ago...
