    Hello folks!

    I play Civ 4 BtS almost every day since a month. Trying to get into the "Prod Cities", "Wonder Cities" etc. thing... a bit hard to find any great newbie guide considering that one! Any help would be appreciated!!!

    Lets get to the point of this thread now:

    A game without using the spy, is a "wasted feature"-game when playing. I use them 3-10 times, but not as effective as the AI does!

    I wonder if its possible to make a mod which AUTOMATES the spies like the worker for example. There are enough indicators, so the Automated-Spies program would always know where to go and hopefully what to do... since you can put all your spy points towards an opponent.

    In that MOD, you could be able to choose, what the spy should do, for example:

    (If you didnt put all your spy points towards an enemy: Select Opponent)
    Spread Culture
    Destroy important Modernizations (Oil, Uran....)
    Sabotage Space-Ship Projects
    Steal Gold
    Steal Technology
    .
    .
    .

    I think that this would be great, because nobody likes to move every single spy manually all the time, especially in late game where you need far more spies....

    I would settle for spies having the automated search option available to almost every other unit. It's silly that it's not an option for spies.

    And for your automation idea, yes I would like an automated go to civ X city sit 5 turns then do counter espionage every 10 turns. This is the one I use most frequently. The rest I would want to do manually anyway.
    It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

        is someone able to realize this mod? or is it too differcult to program? the efficiency in espionage would be much greater than without an auto-option.

          I so totally agree with this one. I can't believe that catapults can go on automatic search, but spies can't.

            Apparently spies are prima donnas who have to be constantly coached. This while a bunch of men pulling around big hunks of wood need no additional motivation at all in wandering off into the unknown.

                I never even use the dang things. Anymore I put one spy in important cities late in game, but i am not using this feature like I should.
