can't start a golden age with 7 great people?

    can't start a golden age with 7 great people?

    I have 7 great people, and if I hover over any of them, civ4 says I can't start a golden age until I have 4 total ... cvi4 says I have 2 of 4.

    6 of my great people are prophets.
    1 is a great scientist.

    what gives?

    That's why. They all have to be different. So 6 Golden Ages would be the max if my brain is working right. Which I can't vouch for as it's the first thing in the morning. Hmm, coffee.

        Lesee, there's Spy, Engineer, Merchant, Scientist, Artist, and Priest.

        Plus Taj Mahal and an event that gives you a Golden Age, so max in 1 game is 8.

            If you have Statue of Zeus and complete the colosum quest you have a choice of geting a Golden Age.

              You can group 2 or more Specialists of your choosing on a tile for the Golden Age. That way you can save particular Specialists for Corporations, etc.

                What about the Great General? I'm not sure if that can be used for a Golden Age or not. I didn't realize there was an event that allows one.
