  • No Dog fights in BtS?

I'd like to say I was playing a game while I thought of this but acctually I was listening to a Churchill Speech and thought... Why don't we have dog fights?

As it stands your airforce is strictly defence if your enemy has an airfoece too? Why can my fighter in city A, which is attacking City B but can't fight effectively because there is another fighter in city B, attack the fighter in city B to try to get rid of it? I mean, this seems like a logical thing. Haven't you ever been attacking a city with a bomber only to have it blasted out of the sky be a fighter you can do nothing about?

    what do you guys think?

Have you ever tried attacking a fighter with another fighter?

Send your fighters in before the bombers. They'll get intercepted by enemy fighters and dogfight then. Yes, it feels strange to give your fighter a bombing mission with the intent that it engage enemy fighters, but it works.

It should be a support mission for fighters. Defending fighters would then have a chance of engaging incoming fighters instead of bombers. The chances for engagement, would be decided on number of fighters on each side.
