  • Transports/Galleons

    Hello!

i'm a new member to the forum, although i've been reading it for some time now.

I have a question regarding enemy transports/galleons. Is there a way to find out if they are loaded with units or are empty? From what i can tell there isnt, but i might be blind...

    thanks

After some Vanilla patch, or possibly just Warlords, you can't. Originally you used to be able to tell, but it was determined better to make them hidden instead, to encourage naval warfare more.

Wouldn't want to discourage naval warfare, would we? Actually this change is logical. Just seeing them on the sea, how would one know if they are civilians (settler/worker), military units, or empty going to pickup or returning to base? Radio noise might give a clue in modern times, but espionage system is nowhere near that sophisticated.
