One of the common hazards to the lost souls on this site. We all have wives/partners who complain about the amount of time spent, things that don't get done, places not gone to, rest lost, and so forth in our striving for "just one more turn." I cannot remember a time when I didn't have at least a couple of games I "could get back to, maybe." Same with how many times I have said to myself, just play out the five turns until tech X arrives, only to be still there as the tech after that (or the one after that) nears completion.

Ha! Yes, I'm a student. It frustrates me that I can't play this game at a higher level and I need to just put it on the shelf! I remember the promotional videos about people lost to Civ4 and although I waited a long time, I still bought it.

Ah, reminds me of the Civilization Anonymous (Civ Anon) (civanon.com or civanon.org) site. It's a bleepin' shame they haven't kept that updated with new content to make it appear to be a real organization rather than just a marketing ploy!
