I have played a few games against the computer with 18 civs to start. Late in the game after a civ builds the Manhattan project, for some reason the game will not let me build nukes or nuke subs. Uranium does not show up in my city resource list. Even though I have many uranium mines they do not show up. Is this a bug or could I be missing something. This has happened more than once in different games. I was playing on emperor level. I am patched up too. Any help would be great. Thanks

Uranium is revealed with Physics.
But you can not use it until you have Fission.
You can only build nukes if
- You have invented Fission
- You have invented Rocketry
- You have access to Uranium
- Someone (not necessarily you) has completed the Manhattan Project
- There is no UN imposed ban on nukes

As to the OP, I'm pretty sure the no show for uranium is caused by the lack of Fission. However, what tech is it that permits the Manhatten Project? Anyway, with physics and fission the uranium should show in the city resource window if roaded and mined. Independently of the missiles and related UN resolutions, this permits ships to be built that use either oil or uranium and of course nuclear submarines. No matter where you go, there you are. - Buckaroo Banzai

With Physics, you can mine the uranium for extra hammers.
But you can't connect it until Fission.
MP requires Fission. Double Speed production with Uraninum. Athough why in the world someone would someone build this project without Uranium?1st C3DG Term 7 Science Advisor 1st C3DG Term 8 Domestic Minister
