  • WB: increasing espionage points?

    Hi,

I just finished my first game on Monarch (I lost pretty badly), and I would like to go back through the savegames and look at what the AI civs were doing with their empires. I think I remember having read that the trick is to go into worldbuilder and give myself a huge amount of espionage points, which then gives me the possibility to inspect the AI civs.

But I don't seem to find oout how to do give myself more E-points. The closest I can find is the diplomacy-attitude slider, but that's not really it, is it?

How should I do? Or have I misunderstood the 'trick'?

    Ciao.

    /p

Perhaps it's the python console? Or the WB file itself? Not sure.

You could use the python console to change your civ to the next civ, and just cycle through them all

or you could use WB and create a couple of dozed Great Spys and place them in AI territory, and then go a turn and use them to get the Esp Points.
      Keep on Civin'

        Nah, that would be boring.

Thanks both of you! Since I have no experience with the Python console, I think I'll go with Ming's tip. Cheers!

If you have CheatCode=chipotle in your ini file, just press CTRL-Z. You can view all cities, production, research, and in any screen there's a spinner to switch between civs to see their stats.

That seem to be the way to go. It turns out the Great Spy trick was double-edged: When I went a turn ahead to cash in on my E-points, the AI immediartely changed all specialists to a ton of spy specialists, to I learnt nothing about their specialist use...
