  • Merging mods

    there are actually three mods i like very much :

    Carter's earth, for having "planetary" map size only,
    Cultural diversity mod
    Next war epic (the one provided with bts)

    Is there any way to load them all at the same time ? Or to merge them into one single mod ? Even if it's complicated to do, i want to play with all three active, so tell me, please!



    PS: Btw, what can i do with the leaderhead files from civfanatics ? How to implement them ? I know how to make them replace the original leaderheads, but not how to make new leaders of them. And how do i give them a personality and traits ?

    Update : I just tried putting some xml files from the carter mod into the "custom assets" folder, and that worked for giving me planetary map size and odyssey speed without loading the mod. Fist success for me here. (good thing is that this is easy to reverse).

    Now, what if i get two mods modifying the same xml files ? would i have to copy/paste their changes into one single xml file and i'm done ? It sounds too easy (even if requiring a lot of time and attention)...

    Update 2 : Ok looks like a simple copy/paste of the cultural diversity mod does not work, i think this is due to the xml files having different names from the BtS ones. It gave me weird results, like a maya warrior trio with one maya style warrior and two european style warriors... so this does not seem to work. I will try to put carter's files into the cultural diversity mod folder, load that mod and see if it works that way.

    Update 3 : It works, i now have planetary map size and odyssey speed in the cultural diversity mod. Now, if anyone could give me some good piece of advice for including next war epic techs and units to that, i would be grateful.
