  • civilization four bioshock creators favorite game

According to MSNBC Ken Levine is regarded as one of the most creative people in the game industry. They have a story on his top five favorite games.

Civ IV is at the top of his list. Pretty cool the guy made bioshock (which I need to find time to play) so he knows his job.

Can you provide us a link to this article? I'm not able to find it on MSNBC's site. (Hope it's not "staring" at me and I'm not seeing it! )

        Ah, thanks Koyaanisqatsi.

What Ken says there is comparable to what he said in a 2005 article we reported on which is no longer accessible (even through the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine near as I can determine).

Bah, if he really liked as much as some of us do, he'd have never had the time to make BioShock!

o/t: That's a good book in your sig, Koyaanisqatsi. Ever read Ilium?

Yeah...I actually liked Ilium and Olympos better than the Hyperion Cantos, which I thought pretty much fell off a cliff after the first book.

HOMM2 is also one of his top 5. I wish I could find that game again.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

I think it's on Direct2Drive and I know it's on the Ubisoft site.

edit: Oops, thought that was a 5. Dunno about 2.

I think the first books of both of those series are the superior ones.

I loved Ilium and Hyperion. I think Simmons should just write two books at once, he seems to lose his way a bit with the time off.
