Interestingly, the Zulus declared war on Korea. It's not like they're going to hurt France but it may be a helpful distraction.
I've just reformed to police state and once anarchy is over, I'm declaring war on Korea myself. I'm not entirely satisfied with the force I have, but I don't feel like waiting any longer since my new units are already nearing obsoletion.
Overview of units at the beachhead city.
I know the presence of so many musketeers is embarassing, but I intend to use them as cannon fodder and I'm shipping modern infantry, SAM guys etc.
I plan to move along the red lines. I expect the French to counterattack along the blue lines.
The French pillaged Korea pretty throughly BTW.

Old units are very, very effective 'cannon fodder' literally... they absorb collateral damage equally to the larger, more important units, meaning your tanks and such take much less damage

I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.
Ok, first check happiness ratios before you move from monarchy to police state and cut yourself from the luxery resources your enemy used to supply... My production took a blow because of all the angry citizens I got. Pretty dumb, but I'm still safely ahead of France.

You said the zulus attacked the french? Well, I was going to suggest that you could try to get the arabs and the french into a war with each other. As they share the same continent, they would have fought over it and both being weakened before you could take over

Maybe I play Civ as a sandbox game and can't be arsed about getting a good score?
The score algorithm in Civ is really hosed anyway. The game does some dubious comparisons between victory conditions, and unfairly rewards earlier victories over later ones. Anyway....

Why throw them away? Use them as garrison units in your conquered cities, once you have pushed past them and they are safely beyond your wave of expansion.
As I somewhat feared my force wasn't big enought to waltz over Korea. I did capture the northern city of Cheju but when my southern force arrived at the gates of Wonsan, 3 frog-stacks arrived, including about 12 tanks.
I decided to retreat the force to Pyongyang to guarantee its security and to wait for reinforcements (choppers especially).
I've also taken the pesky isle without losses and it seems I control the seas.

No really, I control the seas. I have ships stationed at certain seawats and pillaged their sea improvements. There's still an occassional fight but it changes little to the general situation.
On land, I launched a new offensive after several (tepid) attemps of the French to drive me into the sea. Supported by bombers, more tanks and more gunships I've been having a much smoother ride and captured Wonsan and Seoul.
By the by, the Carthaginians finished the Manhattan Project and I'm now building a nuke. Not sure how it's going to change the dynamic of the war (never had a game with nukes before), but I'm sure it'll be to my benefit.

Heh, you might want to espionage any french uranium mines. Nukes can be your friend, but the best use of them is for killing SoD's, and you certainly have a juicy SoD target there. On the offense, a nuke can give you a (slightly glowing) city with hardly a battle. On the defense, it can take out a whole attacking army in a single blast, saving ALL your cities.
Yup, I'd make really sure the French didn't have Uranium if I were you.
The French have 3 uranium mines. They don't have fission however (not even flight).

I really, really like your screenshots! (And zulu tourists, ) Very agree that it should be used more. It's almost like reading a story with illustrations.
