Using the Map of Planet without the scenario?

Bad choice of words to explain my situation...

I know Civ IV has a map of Planet from SMAC, but I want to use it in a custom game, so I can set up all the rules and stuff. Thing is, I have no idea how to do that.

So, how?

The creation forum would be the better place. All I can tell you is that the Civ IV vanilla map has no special rules attched to it other than default speed is quick (still modifable in both normal start & custom start)
