Does the new event system in BTS prevent optimal deficit tech spend; i.e. we now need to keep a minmial amount of gold for events, often events occur 1-5 coinage outside the current coinage and therefore we can''t get the better result of the event.

AS always, you don't have to, but if you don't have the coin when the event rolls around, you can't pay money for a better result.
Most event costs are so low it only requires a minimum expense, so if you don't have that you may wish to reconsider your tech %.I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
