Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
A couple of AI's double teamed me and each sent an SOD of about 90-100 units each. I was feeling quite smug when i killed over 180 units, fortunately it was a couple of turns of healing before the next two stack came in. All in all I must have killed over 250 units in a span of 4 turns. At least 95% of them died on my territory so the WW wasn't impacted much.
And of course after they shot their wad, their homelands were ripe for the picking.

It would be nice to hear what map sizes you are playing on. I assume the size of a civ's army is proportional to the number of cities it has control over. Therefore playing smaller maps means smaller armies.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me
Mine was large cust_pag.
Snoopy did some customizing on normal pag maps for better civ placement for our MP games.

and I found out Airships can bombard cities AND damage figthers that intercept
But I wouldn't rely on it. In fighter vs airship, the airship is more or less toast. As low as the odds are of a bomber surviving vs a fighter, those of an airship are only 1/3 as high.
If I'm doing the math right, a fighter has a 75% chance of winning a round, and then dealing out 50% damage to the airship, whereas the airship has a 25% chance of winning a round and then dealing out 10% damage to the fighter.
Personally, I've had defending *single* fighters more or less remove an enemy's attacking fleet of of half a dozen or so airships, while taking ~10-20% damage.
I did see Alexander moving 5 SoD's into my borders, across them, and taking out 5 of Asoka's cities..probably the biggest I've seen, and this is around the Musketmen era..must of been 200+
If you chase two rabbits, they shall gang up and chase you back.
I remember some of the versions of BetterAI had AIs really building up. The 100+ stacks were typical... pretty much every game. That was before BetterHandicaps dropped back the AI hammer bonus on high levels.
Hey, that's a good question. Did BtS 3.13 incorporate the BetterHandicaps? I would guess so.
I think that many of his cities finished constructing nukes on that particular turn. Options > Minimize pop-ups. Allows you to access city screen at the end of turn rather than at the start.
