What happened to the police stations of Civ3? I'm not all that comfortable that my enlightened civilization, that is running Representation, Emancipation, and Free Speech, is using jails to reduce war weariness by 25%.

Jails vs. Police Stations?

While I agree that a Police Station might be better for some purposes I still think that every civilized nation in the world has Jails and here in Finland, for example, those young men who refuse to serve their time in the military (a conscripted army) will face jail time. Amnesty International loves us for that too.
Either way, think of it as throwing the hippies in jail instead of having the picketing in front of your government buildings. While this could be estabilished with a Police Station too, I don't see any harm in having it called a Jail instead."The state is nothing but an instrument of oppression of one class by another--no less so in a democratic republic than in a monarchy."

I suppose it bothers me because jails are not the same as prisons. Jails are where people are kept while they await trial and prisons are where you go after being sentenced. My point of contention is that jails are generally part of police stations anyway so I don't understand why the name was changed.
