Lots of us IT Managers here. I have almost no interest in history though. I love playing games and Civ4 is about as good as gaming gets. Other people get tired of games long before I do so having a computer as my gaming slave is a very nice thing.

Word of advice. Don't ever try to teach your girlfriend chess and expect that she'll want to play against you.
On topic, I work in health care. The undeserving maintain power by promoting hysteria.

I'm a translator. I do software localization (translating into Polish) almost exclusively. I studied CS, and wanted to be a software engineer, enjoyed the classes a lot. But after thinking about it, I settled for the other fun job that I am good at — with the much lower stress level, and more control over my free time...

Occupation: SAN/Network Administrator
Education: no degrees, but ~170 units towards all kinds of stuff. I was shooting for a doublemajor in Electrical Engineering and Math, picked up minors in Physics and History, and took lots of interesting things that didn't get me a degree. One of these decades...
Gaming: I've been doing wargames and strategy games of all kinds since I was a kid. I Started off with PanzerBlitz before there were personal computers. I'm sure I've spent many hundreds of hours playing Civ in all its versions over the decades. Nowadays, a few hours on the computer is about the only gaming of any kind I have time for.
