I work for the Boeing Company on contract to the USAF.

Actual job title changes depending on which contract I happen to work that day and range from security guard (siunce occasionally we have to provide our own security and I'm one of the few at work that could actually pass the firearms training) to field tech to property management.

Of course you would, and so would the Great-General TJ Jackson.

I have BAs in History and Africana Studies, and this spring will finish my PhD in African American Studies, with an emphasis on 20th century AA history. Oh, and I already have my virtuous Filipino wife, thank you very much. Unfortunately, I promised her no Civ4 until I defend my dissertation in April. Starting to feel withdrawal symptoms, I think . . .

I'm a copy editor at a daily newspaper -- the last refuge of the generalist. Among my interests are history, politics, foreign affairs, wine and food. So Civ has satisfied me from its first iteration.

I'm interested in history but did a BSc in Computer Science like some others here. Now I'm a programmer that spends more time thinking about civ and looking at message boards than writing code...

I am a CIO and amateur historian focusing on War.

The computer people and history buffs, I expected, but there are a heck of a diverse group out there.

When I am not playing Civ and with a group of others I still do.....nothing beats an old fashioned board game.
