I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I'm currently serving in the US Navy aboard a Ballistic Missile Submarine. Got a lot of credits towards a Electronics Engineering Degree, but only a passing interest in history.
You should come to the Philippines and help me with my beach property. I pay $5 a day for a mason or carpenter plus all the fish soup and rice you can eat at lunch and snacks at 10AM and 3PM.

Well the pay and food sound great but My wife is not too happy about the beautiful virtueous young lady to marry part
A proud member of the "Apolyton Story Writers Guild".There are many great stories at the Civ 3 stories forum, do yourself a favour and visit the forum. Lose yourself in one of many epic tales and be inspired to write yourself, as I was.
Thank you all for contributing. I figured that more leaned towards the computer side than history. I sometimes make huge game blunders because I fail to disconnect the history portion of my brain...I tend to want to build civilizations rather than aquire them....strange coming from a military historian...maybe...on a side note...I do believe that I would rather be on Lancers' tropical beach than staring out my window where the Great-General TJ Jackson fell.
