Or possibly the Community Forum - however the OP seems to be interested in Civ 4 players..........
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I also studied history and bio sciences for awhile. However my 'occupation' hasn't changed since I got here in '98, and I don't see it changing anytime soon...

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

One semester away (hopefully) from graduating with a history degree so right on one count at least.

The list of published books grows. If you're curious to see what sort of stories I weave out, head to Amazon.com and do an author search for "Christopher Hartpence." Help support Candle'Bre, a game created by gamers FOR gamers. All proceeds from my published works go directly to the project.

Occupation: Senior Level Java Web Programmer Analyst

                      Education: BS in Computer Science
                      Minor in Mathematical Science. *

                      * The Minor was all of one additional Math class (Calc III) not already required by my major.

The shear number of general requirements required by both the University and the College of Arts & Science preempted earlier plans to get a minor in History. (I much rather have taken History courses instead of Spanish, that film class, and the PE class)

I always love how the qualification is called a BS in Comp. Sci. Bull**** for a qualification
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Wow lots of clever people in here,

Im a Bricklayer, Joiner and Plasterer with absolutely no qualifications except experience and hard graft. Though I was taught my trades by my Father and several other very skilled men he used to work with.

I have a fascination with History that was possibly helped by playing civ but by no means due to civ, so I play civ because i like history.

It does not surprise me many civplayers are academics, it certainly is more of a thinking persons game.
A proud member of the "Apolyton Story Writers Guild".There are many great stories at the Civ 3 stories forum, do yourself a favour and visit the forum. Lose yourself in one of many epic tales and be inspired to write yourself, as I was.

You should come to the Philippines and help me with my beach property. I pay $5 a day for a mason or carpenter plus all the fish soup and rice you can eat at lunch and snacks at 10AM and 3PM.

Also, my wife will find you a wonderful, beautiful, virtueous young lady to marry.

                              Kind of a package deal.

I went into the US army (Germany) when I was 17, then when I got out learned carpentry, house framing and roofing. Getting old for that now and I've found a paint brush to be not so painful.
