    Yes, we've all had good or bad hut luck, but last night I had a string that qualified as the best I've ever had and I just had to post it. I guess if you play enough games, almost anything can happen.

    BEST STREAK
    Playing EMP. Two huts in sight on opening. First get a scout. Second get AH. SWEET.

    I get 7 more huts in the game. ALL TECHS
    I even got DRAMA from a hut.

    And yes, I was not reloading.

    While it's nice to get a few coins, I couldn't complain.

    I have never had a streak like that.

    Yes we all have our streak of barbs and maps, I did get 5 hostiles out of six one game.

    The most annoying hut was opening one with a warrior on a forest hill and getting experience and going "great uber scout time" only to have a wolf kill it the next turn before I could apply the promotion. That was one super wolf.


    What are your tales of hut glory or punishement?
    It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

    I once popped astro from a hut in an MP game. The next turn we got lib and took sci method

      I've mentioned elsewhere that I play friendly hot-seat Civ 4 with a couple of friends. (Noble Difficulty)

      One game, Friend #1, playing the Celts, came across a half dozen goody huts before Friend #2 or I could find more than one. Friend #1 had a streak of two techs, a warrior, a settler, a scout and gold.

      When I finally got a goody hut...I got a map. Friend #2 had it worse, popping barbarians which killed his scout.

          what are the odds of one hut? like 1:10 at emporer? That's make it 0.1 to the eighth power, if my math skills are correct anyway. That'd be 1 in 100,000,000

                Techs are fairly rare for me to pop on Emperor, even with scouts. Gold is most common for me, which is useful early.

                  I think the best I have ever done was BW, IR, and AH in quick succession. That alone pretty much sews up a win unless you are careless later.

                    My latest emp game (using a scout), I got 4 techs from a total of 9 huts... I was quite impressed.

                        Scouts get 'better' hut draws, I don't think they explicitly eliminate barbs on higher levels though... but I haven't looked at the code. Raging Barbs I believe also affects this, doesn't it?

                          I may have misremembered my friend's scouting unit as being a scout instead of a warrior. Still...I've seen some lousy draws from scouts.

                            I doubt that. I play large and huge maps exclusively, and I've never, not once, seen a scout provoke barbarian units. Raging Barbs doesn't seem to change it, but makes more barbarians (units and cities) spawn in general.
