  • Permanent Alliance Question.

If this is enabled can/will 2 AI controlled civs form the permanent alliance?

Yes, they can and will do it. I once had a game with 8 AI's in it, 6 of them formed alliances with each other, forming 3 permanent alliances.

In my experience, once one PA is formed there will be a rush on them. I try and make my PA the first.

Yeah, they can. I've had a map with 18 civs , Huge Islands map, atleast 8 perma-alliances were happening, and one of the eight was mine. The other two were vassals.

Since this thread is about PA's.

Can a PA with 2 form an alliance with another, to make a three-way alliance?

I believe not. I've tried it multiple times without it ever being a choice after the first.

I did see an AI make a PA of it's vassel once, but I never have that option.

I think if you grant indendence to a colony you automatically sign a permanent alliance with them.

              Aren't they only vassals then?

Yes, they're your Vassals and you sign a Defensive Pact with them, not a permanent Alliance.
