The part about archery units has really been forgotten, which is too bad since the thing that made this interesting was the archer warring and seeing how the war is waged with regular units, I must give my for going away from the archer theme!

Or was it just the conquest of Babylon? Meh.

How well are the bows doing? What kind of promotions are you getting, and are they staying alive?

Use the spy for a Golden Age. That's the best use.

Also go into your city and take off the spy specialist and put him somewhere else- ANYWHERE else (I suggest Engineer).

Good lord, there's a ton of gold around you!

By the way, I just noticed that on lower difficulty levels (prince and below for sure), the dog soldier can also be used to rush. All you need is some warriors, a slight beeline, and some gold from goody huts. It's even faster than the archer-based attack showed here, because a single dog soldier can take out a lot of warriors with ease.
                          Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

I concur. In fact, I'm not sure if this thread is less about an archer rush than the ability of the Native Americans to excel in an early rush. With totem pole & barracks you can have Drill 1 archers + a number of other combinations suited towards your target (including Cover) and Dog Soldiers can almost go toe to toe with Prateorians on flat terrain, w/o needing metal. The only more dangerous foe I can think of would be Winston Churchill of the Native Americans.

If by some fluke accident i do not win this one I am still making the jump to Monarch effective my next game, if only because i want early wars to be somewhat of a challenge. This has honestly been a cakewalk so far...
You had quite the sweet spot for your capitol. In fact you should have done a lot better, had you not been so fixated on warfare. You were worried about maintenance costs athough you were surrounded by gold- settling near those would pay for itself. Also you did not turn Babylon into a GP farm, towards which it is well-suited and utilizes your PHIL trait. Having to destroy Moscow instead of capturing means you needed at least 1 more defensive unit.
