CivIV:BTS problems...Direct2Drive version

I did not encounter any problems with this excellent game on the install, but while playing the game, a few critical things became apparent.

For instance, the default Chinese leader, Mao, is shown as KEY_TEXT_CHINESE_LEADER, or something very close to that. Likewise, all trade goods show up similiarly in diplomatic meetings.

Further, I cannot change my civics at all.

The game is plainly bugged, but I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this before.

I have the Direct2Drive version on my lap top, and it works fine. I've had absolutely no problems at all.

In the official D2D version that should not be the case... ensure you got it from direct2drive.com directly. Also ensure you have the current patch, although that particular bug was not present in the release 3.00 version from what I recall. You may have slightly incorrect files; you might want to re-download it again.
