  • Best Game I've ever had.

Was having a quick game yesterday, and boy, was it a great one!

Right off, I settled down, with a superb position. I started to found the religions. I built all the wonders but Collusos (sp?) , Great Library and the Chichen Itza, and the wonders where you need 8 forges, 8 hospitals etc.

By the end of the game, I had founded ALL of the religions, had 2 cities, had NO military units except 2 ( to stop a riot where they demand protection ) and Delhi ( I was Gandhi ) had Legendary Culture!

I won by the Time Victory, I had built most wonders and discovered most techs!

Might as well ask a question to get some replies: Any one else had a situation similar to this?

That's actually pretty good to win a timed victory. Even with most techs and wonders, other civs have tons of points thanks to far greater populations.

And I'm surprised nobody attacked you since you must have been weak on the PG. Were you on your own island?
      Keep on Civin'

Nah, I had shared with Capac...I kinda bribed him into war with other civ's I might have had war with

By the way, it was a huge size map , with 18 civ's.

          Two questions.
          What difficulty level.
          Were you playing agressive AI
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

            Aggressive AI - Off

Difficulty - Prince, or somewhere near it.

Time to take the next level up then!

It is lovely when a game just comes together though.

Only two cities might work on prince but it won't work on monarch+... I'm surprised the AI didn't win via some non-time victory method (space at least)... good job though

Yeah, i agree with Snoop... Monarch and up is a WHOLE different ball game.

But all the same... good job. 18 civs even on lower levels is no joke, mostly because all it takes is ONE of those 17 opponents out of your reach to take over a neighboor or two and get a huge lead...

Hmmm, I don't know that I have ever played a game where another civ wouldn't have won with at least a space ship victory before time ran out. Many times one of them is on the verge of a cultural victory when I win around 1970.

Yeah, many high-culture cities get razed in those peaceful, modern times because of this.
                      Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

I am amazed you got all the religions. I assume they were in your non-capital city, which must have been something!

I'm curious which religions were founded in which cities. I ask b/c I'm playing a Prince lvl game, and have founded 6 of the 7 world religions (as Washington!). Only Buddhism did I not get. But although at the time I had several other cities for the rels to pop up in, Christianity popped up in my Judaic holy city, and Taoism in my Confucianist holy city. IIRC I had Buddhism and Hinduism in the same city in an older game. I'm wondering if there's any preference for certain rels to show up in the same city.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
