Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
You can do a lot of customisation in the XML - name, name of leader, traits, unique units, buildings, starting techs. I think there are some tutorials in the Creation forum, but you can just experiment. (Don't forget to back up your existing files though.)
I was afraid I'd have to use XML. I'm not very confident messing with game files.
What program is simple to edit XML in? I'm not really looking to do a great amount of customization, just mix and match some leader traits with different unique units/bldgs.

I use notepad, but there are some proper XML editors with better facilities.
Dale, your mod looks great, but it won't load. I have Civ4-BTS 3.13. I load up the mod and Civ4 begins to restart.
During the small window load screen before any videos (2K/Firaxis/etc), the status bar freezes as it says:
"[CivCustomiser] Init MP / Voice"
Ever heard of this happening before?
Only thing I think might be different is that I am not running a CD copy of Civ4 (that was given to my cousin), I bought a second copy packaged with BTS thru Steam.

I have the same problem with a mod I created some months ago; I had to re-install my Civ IV BtS, and now it won't load the mod, with exactly the same error message that Serapis described.
Now I would like to know if you guys resolved the problem, and how you did it.
Did you simply insert your customized program fragments into the 3.13 cpp files and then recompile? Or does the problem persist?
Thanks for the quick answer. Meanwhile I tried it out myself, and it worked. Thank God, I already thought a had a serious driver problem and had to reinstall my whole OS.
