  • Memory Allocation Failure

I am having these frustrating "Memory Allocation Failures" on my Warlords. The stupid thing is, it happens even during the first 10 mins of play, be it a new game or saved game. I am running XP Pro with 4GB of RAM. Before this, I was running Win2000 and there was absolutely no errors at all. Does anyone have this problem?

Make sure you are running the latest patch.

If that is up to snuff, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, then patch it up and cross fingers.

If that doesn't work, it is probably on your computers end. Check to see how your computer is set to use memory. Run some diagnostic software. I ran warlords with 512 memory and never had an issue.

I reverted back to Windows 2000 and installed Warlords. Guess what, no problems at all. No changes to hardware or whatsoever, only a change in OS.

Seems that Win XP can't seem to handle memory as well as Win 2000.

It might be a setting in the PRO version of XP.

I run XP HOME edition with no issues.

I'm running XP pro in my notebook... I had no issues playing Civ IV (vanilla, warlords and BtS) here.
