Corporations and Vassals

If I spread my corporations to my vassals and then trade away all their relevant resources, do the vassals still have to pay for the corporation maintenance?
I have observed that my Corp HQ still gets the +4 commerce branch office bonus even when the vassals don't have the resources anymore.

I'm guessing not because corp maintenance is largely based on number of relevant resources.

It does appear you may have discovered a bug, I don't think you should be collecting commerce from a non operating branch.
